The game is played from a Third-person perspective and its world is navigated on-foot or by vehicle. Players control Aiden Pearce, a highly skilled grey hat hacker who can hack into the "ctOS", a centralized Operating Systems which manages the hyper-connected city of Chicago, and formed after a Northeast Blackout of 2003 was caused by a hacker. An online multiplayer mode is also provided in the game, allowing up to eight players to engage in both and competitive gameplay in a recreation of the single-player setting.
Development on the game began in 2009. As part of their research for the open world, the developers conducted field research around Chicago throughout development and captured footage for the design team. Development duties were shared between many of Ubisoft's studios worldwide.
Following its announcement in June 2012, Watch Dogs was widely anticipated. At release, it received generally positive feedback, with praise particularly directed at the game's hacking elements and mission variety. The game also received criticism concerning the gameplay and some technical issues. The story is set in the mid-18th century during the Seven Years' War, and follows Shay Patrick Cormac, an Assassin-turned-Templar. Gameplay in Rogue is very similar to that of Black Flag with a mixture of ship-based naval exploration and third-person land-based exploration with some new features.
Assassin's Creed Rogue received mixed to generally positive reception; the game was praised for subverting the franchise's traditional format by focusing on a Templar who hunts Assassins as its main character, as well as expanding on the lore of the franchise with its focus on returning characters from Assassin's Creed III. Some critics felt that the storyline and missions ofRogue were bland and predictable, and that the game did not provide many significant deviations from the core mechanics and gameplay of Black Flag to make it more than simply a standalone "expansion pack".

Unlike previous games, gameplay elements focus more on ship-based exploration in the open world map, while also retaining the series' third-person land-based exploration, melee combat, and stealth system. Multiplayer also returns, albeit with only land-based modes and settings.
Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag received positive reviews, with critics praising the open world gameplay, side-quests, graphics and naval combat. The modern day story received a mixed response, while criticism also fell on aspects of the historical story missions which were considered repetitive. The game received several awards and nominations, including winning the Spike VGX 2013 award for Best Action Adventure Game. The game features a revamped fighting system. It includes new ways of forming teams based on their skills as well as counterattacks and guard breaks. Masashi Kishimoto worked in the game by providing the new character Mecha Naruto as well as new designs for the characters belonging to the organization Akatsuki whose back-stories are being told in this game. The game also includes a tournament mode where the player can battle against three CPU fighters at the same time, in an all-out battle royale format. Players are also able to customize characters.
The first of three original animated stories, "Creation of the Akatsuki", reveals the origins of the new group's membership. After the events that lead to Yahiko's death, Obito appears in his Tobi guise before Pain and Konan after the former killed Hanzo and gain control of the Hidden Rain Village. Obito tells them to rebuild the Akatsuki's ranks with a membership of ten as he instructs Pain and Zetsu to recruit Kakuzu while Konan drafts Sasori. At that time, Obito personally recruits Itachi and then Kisame. Later, Orochimaru manages to attract the Akatsuki's attention to join their ranks for his own purposes. After the recruitment of Deidara by Itachi and Hidan by Kakuzu and Orochimaru, the Akatsuki's ranks are complete as they begin their mission to find and capture the tailed Beasts. The second story tells of Shisui Uchiha at the time of his death. It begins with Shisui and Itachi fighting which Shisui wins. They later start talking about the Uchiha's coup. while the third, "The Far Reaches of Hope", depicts Kushina Uzumaki interacting with a young Obito and the rest of Team Minato.

Dying Light is a survival horror video game developed by Polish video game developer Techland and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. The game revolves around an undercover operative sent to infiltrate a quarantine zone in a city called Harran. It features a zombie-infested, open-world metropolis with a dynamic day and night cycle. It was originally planned to be released in 2014, but was pushed back to 2015.
At release, Dying Light received generally positive reviews, with praise particularly directed at the combat, graphics, co-operative multiplayer, navigation and the day-night cycle, while receiving criticism regarding the game's story, difficulty and technical issues. The game was the best-selling title for the month of January 2015 and broke the record of the first month sales for a new survival horror intellectual property (IP).
